Week of June 10th

Spanish I:

  • There were no more Spanish I classes, since they had their final last week, and graduated this week.
About 8 students have not returned their Spanish textbook. I emailed parents to let them know, so they can look for the book, and avoid the $61 lost book fee.

Don't forget to review Spanish over the summer, so that you are ready for Spanish II next year!! I will miss you all... You have been my best 8th grade class ever!!

viernes, el siete de junio

Today there was no Spanish, since the whole middle school had the Ellis Island Immigration experience.


Homework:
All review sheets are due today. I will accept them on Friday, By next week, they will be considered late or missing,

Books must be returned to me by hand, so I can check your number accorsing to the book I gave you in September. If it doesn't match, you may be charge a book fee if your book doesn't show up by next week.

  • Students had a practice test on the city words. They wrote down the ones they got wrong and were supposed to take the paper home. Their actual test will be next Tuesday, June 11th.

martes, el cuatro de junio

Spanish I:

  • We went over the first review sheet for the final that was due yesterday. The answers to this are not on the blog, since we went over it in class.
  • I then passed out a final worksheet on Unidad 2. This is due by Thursday, and the answers will be after this blog entry.
This week:
  • Students will get more packets the rest of this week. Answers will be posted each day. During class, (and at lunch if they want extra help) students are expected to work on the worksheets and ask for help on the sections they do not understand.
Homework:
  • Worksheet on Etapa Preliminar and Unidad 1 is due by Thursday.
  • Worksheet on Unidad 2 is due by Thursday.
Final Exam:
  • Part 1 is on Wednesday and part 2 is on Thursday.
3rd Grade Spanish:
  • Students saw a Spanish cartoon on Sponge Bob.
